COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
BAG, PLASTIC, GENGERAL PURPOSE (RIP-RESISTANT)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
commercial item description for all federal agencies.
1. SCOPE. This description covers plastic bags designed to have increased rip and tear resistance. They are intended for outdoor use and for other applications where a high degree of tear resistance is required.
2. CLASSIFICATION. Bags shall be of the following types, as specified in the contract or order:
Type 1 – Medium Duty
Type 2 – Heavy Duty
Type 3 – Extra Heavy Duty
Beneficial comments, recommendations, additions, deletions, clarifications, etc. and any data which may improve this document should be sent to General Services Administration, Federal Supply Service, Engineering Branch, 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278.
