COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
BAG, PAPER, MECHANDISE
This Commercial Item Description has been approved by the General Services Administration/Federal Supply Service.
1. Scope. This description covers merchandise bags used primarily for the packaging of millinery and notions.
2. Classification. The bags shall be of the following types.
Type I - Flat
Type II - Square
3. Salient characteristics.
3.1 Construction. Bags shall be fabricated from unbleached kraft paper in accordance with the requirements specified in table I. Bags shall be made with the lip, bottom, and center seam or bottom fold formed to the rear. The length of the lip shall not be included in the dimensions of the bag (See Fig. 1).
