COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
BAG, PAPER (HARDWARE)
This Commercial Item Description has been approved by the General Services Administration/ Federal Supply Service.
1. Scope. This description covers the requirements for self-opening paper bags of the sizes and weights of paper stock indicated in Table I.
2. Salient
characteristics.
2.1 Construction.
The paper for hardware bags shall be craft conforming to the applicable requirements in Table I herein. The seams shall bond the paper together throughout their area. The bags shall be supplied in the dimensions specified in Table I, with the tolerance of 6.4 mm (+ 1/4") for face width and tuck width. The tolerance for bag length shall + unlimited, 6.4 mm (1/4”). The bags, unless otherwise specified, shall be imprinted with the appropriate bag number, as shown in Table I, as part of the manufacturer’s trademark or imprint.
