COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
LINER, BOWL, INCINERATING TOILET
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description.
This description covers bowl liners for incinerating toilets.
1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
A) Construction. Bowl liners shall be made from paper laminated with polyethylene. Liners shall be folded to fit the bowls of Research Products incinerating toilets, Models TR and MT.
B) Dimensions. When completely unfolded, the overall length of each liner shall be not less than 457 mm (18 inches) and the overall width shall be not less than”305 mm (12 inches).
B) Workmanship. Bowl liners shall be free from holes, tears, or other defects which may impair serviceability.
2. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A) Responsibility for Inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the Commercial Item Description where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
