B) Dimensions. Dimensions shall be expressed as overall height X face width X gusset width. For overall height and face width the tolerance shall be + 13 mm (+ ½ inch); for gusset width the tolerance shall be + be 6 mm (+ ¼ inch).
C) Workmanship. The bags shall be uniformly made, free from punctures, tears, cuts, or other defects which might impair their serviceability or appearance.
2. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A) Responsibility for Inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the Commercial Item Description where such inspections deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements.
B) Sampling. Bags and shipping containers shall be sampled in accordance with MIL-STD-105.
C) Examination of the bags for Construction and Workmanship. The lot size shall be expressed in units of rolls. The sample unit shall be 1 roll. The Inspection Level shall be S-2, the AQL shall be 2.5 percent defective.
D) Examination of the bags for Dimensions. The lot size shall be expressed in units of bags. The sample unit shall be 1 bag. The Inspection Level shall be S-2, the AQL shall be 2.5 percent defective.
E) Testing of the bags. The lot size shall be expressed in units of bags. The sample unit shall be 1 bag. The Inspection Level shall be S-1, the AQL shall be 2.5 percent defective.
Heat Sealed Seam Test. Each sample unit shall be tested for seam strength in accordance with Method 2024 of FED-STD-101, except that
2 specimens, 1 from each side of the slit, shall be cut 127 to 203 mm (5 to 8 inches) from the center of the seam and tested using a test weight of 220 + 10 g. The seam shall not rupture or delaminate.
