COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
BAG, PLASTIC (BREAD)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to Size B of Military Specification MIL-B-43706.
This description covers plastic bags furnished on metal wickets for use by automatic bread packaging machines.
1. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
A) Construction. The bags furnished under this description shall be fabricated from colorless, transparent, plastic film which meets the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act for use in direct contact with food. The plastic film shall have the physical characteristics listed in-Table 1.
